Do Your Daily Affirmations Make You Yawn?

daily affirmationsHow you feel when you lay down at night and start to say your daily affirmations. Is it a good feeling or do you just say them methodically like you were running through a list?. And how does your brain react? When I first started doing affirmations, I did them in the morning; I had a list that I read through, and every morning before I started work I read through the list. But for some reason when I got to about the third point I started to yawn. And unfortunately, as I continued to read – I continued to yawn.

I don’t know what the real reason is for this. But I didn’t want to stop reading the affirmations and after a while, as they became clearer in my mind and I began to believe them more, I didn’t yawn as much – in fact most days I didn’t yawn at all. The fact is, the more successful I became the less I yawned when I did my affirmations.

Now, even if I do my affirmations while lying in bed, I don’t yawn anymore. In fact, as I do the daily affirmations, I smile, get myself in a good mood, visualize myself having what I’m affirming, and basically just get in a more positive mood to believe that what I’m saying is actually a possibility.

Now you may be thinking that I go through a 10 min. affirmation list and that’s what makes me tired, but that’s not the case. My daily affirmation list is a list of ten items. And now that I’m smiling and going through them with a higher energy level, they not only make me feel good about what I’m doing – they are also starting to come true.

I guess what I’m trying to tell you, is that when you do your affirmations, don’t just read through a list. Read them with energy! In fact one of the other things I used to do, is to jump up and down a few times and really get my mind moving and my blood flowing before I did the affirmations. It helped me get into a state of mind where my energy was high, my excitement was high, and when I was done, I was ready to get to work.

So really think about what’s going on in your head when you’re doing your daily affirmations. Don’t just read through your list every day in a boring attempt to make your dreams come true. You need to believe and feel every word that you read, and soon you’ll see that the more you believe the more things happen!

Ten Minute Workout – New Years Goal!

New Years ResolutionsHappy New Year! I wanted to check in and let you know I’m still around. Actually one of my resolutions this year was to give you more updated information on what’s happening in the self-help area so I’ve been reading a lot! I haven’t gotten in enough Genius Mindset yet to actually get on track with my resolutions – but I’m working on it! Here are a few things to consider as you make your own resolutions:

Does it seem to you that those resolutions seem like a good thing when you make them; and then they’re much harder than you thought they would be?

If you decided to lose weight this year you may be looking to sign up for a gym membership. Have you done that before? In the words of Dr. Phil – “How’s that working out for you?” That new year’s resolution may come – and go – each year because it’s just a lot of work to get yourself psyched up to even go for a walk. But you don’t really need to go to extremes with this resolution. Just make a commitment of about 10 minutes a day. Even getting up a little earlier and doing a few stretches will go a little way. And in fact, if you just take a moment to breathe and stretch after you get off work you might find enough renewed energy to go for that walk!

OK, so maybe I’ve been watching too much TV during my Holiday time off – but I was also watching Dr. Oz the other day and he was interviewing Tony Horton about his TenMinute Workout. I’m pretty sure I can find at least 10 minutes in my day to get results like the women on the show did! Yes, this year I may just succeed at my resolution!

My other resolutions are probably a lot like yours. A good one is to stop procrastinating – I’ve already accomplished some of that this year by always putting the dishes that are in the drainer away before adding new ones. But I won’t give up my title of Extreme Dish Stacker – even if I don’t get to practice anymore!

Eating Right goes along with weight loss, but since you don’t eat when you’re exercising I think of it on its own. And then there’s always the goal of new Career Achievements and to make more money. . .

I could go on and but I’m sure you’ve made your own resolutions so I’ll end mine here. I wish you the best in the New Year and hope you accomplish all your goals this year!

History and Advancements in Brainwave Entrainment

Brainwave EntrainmentEveryone in the self help world has more than likely heard of some type of subconscious or subliminal programming technique. In the beginning there were tapes that played loud music in the background while someone whispered positive affirmations that were just barely audible. These never worked very well for me because that whisssss pering sound drove me nuts! There’s really no way to hide the “s” sounds when you’re whispering!

Actually, you can whisper positive affirmations to yourself daily and it would probably do the same thing. I am a firm believer in affirmations and usually do them right away in the morning when I get up, and again just before I go to sleep at night. My daytime ones are more like a cosmic ordering session, while the night time ones more resemble prayers and also a thank you for what has been received.

If you only ask for more things and never give thanks you will not get that sense of accomplishment that makes you feel proud at having achieved something.

I think Isochronic tones may have been developed next; they were probably the stepping stone for brainwave entrainment systems. But Isochronic tones in themselves are also not that helpful because they are beats of a SINGLE tone. And while it may be possible to slow our brain down to concentrate on this tone for a while; brainwaves are very dynamic and they very quickly get bored of a listening to something so simple.

mind controlOK, I’ll admit it; I’ve gone and got someone mad at me again. You see, were having an argument and suddenly I just lost my mind. I blurted something out without thinking and then it was all over. I lost the battle and walked away defeated. As a self help trainer I definitely know better – but I forgot to let my mind be still and use my covert mind control techniques instead of just flying off the handle.

How many times has this happened to you – arguing and losing I mean? It doesn’t happen to me very often because I try to avoid arguments. I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion and if it’s different than mine, I’m OK with that!

I used to dream about being listened to. Just once I wanted to see what it felt like to have someone value my opinion at the beginning of a conversation instead of always having to say “I told you so!” No matter how right you are, people do not like hearing that you were right and they were wrong. And it’s highly unlikely that you’ll ever hear them admit that.

Notice that I say “used to” a lot here. That used to happen because I had no idea that there were mind control techniques that would allow me to sway a person to my opinion easily and effortlessly. Life is good now! I get my way most of the time and guess what, I don’t ever need to say “I told you so” because I win by making the other person feel like they won. They actually THINK it was their original idea to begin with.

So what are my best mind control techniques? First of all, I LISTEN to what the other person is saying. Then before I say anything, I formulate my plan of attack. I can tell how adamant the person is about what they just said by watching their eyes, body movements and listening to their tone of voice. Then I begin by asking questions, questions that I am certain will get a YES answer. Carefully formulated questions that lead the person to where I want them to end up.

What you want is to have a conversation instead of an argument. You need to connect with the person and get them in a better, more agreeable mood. You need to watch their body language so you know exactly where they are at any given moment, and how many more mind control techniques you need to continue to use before you get what you want.

You can see that I’m not doing anything illegal here, or accessing any type of dark forces that only I have access to.

I am simply leading the conversation to where I want it to go – instead of being lead! What I’m doing is sneakily using COVERT MIND CONTROL TECHNIQUES! When you know these secrets, you can bend the will and psychology of almost *anyone* you could ever meet… and get them to do things they’d otherwise never agree to in a million years.

How you use these powers, is up to you but I can tell you that they work in a lot of different situations.

Fears, phobias, the need for self-confidence etc. is not an easy feeling and unfortunately, these fears will probably not resolve themselves unless you do something to help yourself.

Using Positive Self Talk To Remain Sane

positive self talkDo you talk to yourself? If you do, are you aware of what you’re saying? Many people who work alone (or at home) have a tendency to talk to themselves about mundane things. Or they’ll be mumbling away when they’re shopping or out just walking around. But this isn’t what you need to be aware of. What’s more important is your personal self talk — and whether you’re practicing positive self talk or not aware of negative self talk habits.

It’s sometimes hard to get away from negative self talk. As soon as you put that first negative thought into your head, your brain takes it and believes it is true. Then it begins to build on itself and pretty soon that one thought is running out of control on its own.

For example, remember when you first started that new job that you had been waiting for forever? You were probably just so happy to finally be accepted for your talents and what you have to offer. That feeling can last forever – or you can ruin it in short order by events that happen and how you think about them.

In your new job you will meet people. Some of them will recognize your work and accomplishments and complement you on them. Others will be so jealous that they will try to put you down in an attempt to get more of their own complements. At this point, you may start negative self talk about these people or worse yet, about your new job that you used to love so well.

When this happens, the positive self talk you previously had about your new job is slowly replaced by negative self talk. This self talk will eventually completely destroy your happiness and ability to do your work in a productive manner. You begin to hate going to work in the morning; seeing certain people, etc.; misery sets in.

But it doesn’t need to happen this. When you work at positive self talk techniques, the negative self talk never gets in. Now I’m not saying that this is easy to do. Many times you are not even aware that you are self talking. Things are just going around in your mind unconsciously as you work through your day.

This is where positive self talk tapes can come in handy. There are certain positive self talk statements that will recover your self esteem. If your brain waves are really out of whack because of your constant negative mental statements, you may need to re-align your brain waves using brainwave synchronization techniques (which usually come in the form of Brainwave Entrainment CD’s.)

The main thing is to become aware of what you’re saying to yourself, and replace those negative statements with positive self talk.

Some people find it difficult to remain calm in tough environments. Others seem to just go with the flow – not letting things bother them much. One of the reasons life is so calm for these people is that they know how to build self esteem. Some may have had low self esteem to begin with – or maybe not. Either way, a high self esteem that’s not used to degrade people is a good thing. Here are a few tips to improve self esteem using a dart game as a visual aid.

You need to build your self esteem in this case so the small things don’t bother you anymore. Leave the negative people to themselves; get out of their way (or use a little manipulative psychology on THEM!) Your work will be rewarded in other ways.

Change your Environment

This is not a case of “if you can’t beat um, join um.” It’s more of a case of if things are bringing you down too low, get out! Change can be scary, but in my experience, when I make changes that get me out of a bad situation, I find new life in myself! Be willing to be flexible and think outside the box. Even if the change makes things more difficult for awhile, your self esteem will increase as you take on these new challenges and succeed. Change is a fact of life, don’t be afraid of it!

Another dart that may come your way also has to do with other people’s BEHAVIOR. In every job there is one or more person trying to build self esteem by putting others down. These are the gossipers, whiners, backstabbers, controllers, complainers – you get the picture. Just leave these people alone. The bad vibes they’re putting off are not good for your self esteem. Negativity will never help your self improvement attempts; you will just go down with these people, instead of UP for yourself.

Inherited Self Esteem?

Self esteem (or lack thereof) is not inherited! People aren’t really born to lead, or born to think positively. Some just do. Some have learned how to improve self esteem and have practiced it to the point that that they are happier, healthier and don’t even think about it anymore. No one’s going to tell you that you now have “permission” to build self esteem; it’s up to you to take the first step, and get rid of the things that are keeping you from being happy.

After you start taking responsibility for your life, you will find that self improvement attempts become natural. You will start to grow and become the person you want to be. The more you build self esteem the easier it gets. So start today by doing these simple things:

  • Be aware of when you’re negative and turn yourself around to a positive state of mind.
  • Be happy and content with what you have; knowing you are working towards something better.
  • Be appreciative of things that happen – instead of trying to find wrongdoings.

Developing Intuition in Seven Simple Steps

Have you had that experience when all of a sudden you just had this huge hunch that something is about to happen, and to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated to reality? If you’ve been developing intuition, you know that that’s the point when you feel strongly about something but have no idea why. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or “the third eye,” sensing clearly and feeling through listening.

Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.

Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as “hunch” or “gut feeling.” This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can’t explain it and all you can say is “I just know.”

On the other hand, feeling through listening or clairaudience is being able to “listen” between the lines. Intuition also happens at times when a certain sound, whatever it is – be it a car’s honk or a bird’s twitting – ushers in an intense feeling.

They say only a number of people are gifted with intuition. Astrologers even insist that people born under the Scorpio or Pisces signs are naturally intuitive it almost borders on E.S.P. But studies have been sprouting left and right that proclaim that anyone can get good at developing intuition. My sign is Aries and I’ve always had good powers of intuition.

Why the need to develop intuition, you ask?

Why not leave your emotional and psychological state as it is?

First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn’t come out unless you let go. It’s the same as when you practice Directed Dreaming to get information from your subconscious. You have to be relaxed and willing to let thoughts just come to you.

Never expect.

After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the “hunch” will fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time and then prepare to get surprised that — wham! — now you have your answer.

Believe in your first impressions.

When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.

Stay happy!

See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.

Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.
